US-linked ships in the Persian Gulf in the crosshairs of Iranian seizure

In recent days, the US military has seized a container ship and an oil tanker from the Iranian-linked fleet in a plan known as a naval blockade.

Immediately after the seizure of the Iranian container ship, the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters announced retaliatory action.

Now, analysts believe that Iran should seize the equivalent of the cargo and value of the ship itself from the US-linked assets that are available after each seizure of a ship by the US.

On this basis, the seizure of US-linked ships that have been stopped before the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf and their transfer to Iranian ports could be one of the assets that could be seized in exchange for the seizure of Iranian ships.

Under this plan, for every ship the US seizes from Iran, Iran will also seize assets related to the US in proportion to the ship's seizure, but this is not a one-to-one correspondence, and it is possible that the US will seize two or more ships from Iran, depending on the value of the cargo.

It should be noted that more than 400 vessels are currently stationed in the Persian Gulf.
