Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News host and international affairs analyst, believes that Donald Trump’s threats regarding the "destruction of Iran" violated the U.S. Constitution and that the president should have been removed from office as a result.

Carlson has emphasized that Donald Trump should have been removed from office much earlier due to his nuclear threats against Iran. He views the U.S. president's threatening remarks as a violation of the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Donald Trump never explicitly spoke of using nuclear weapons against Iran; however, his statements regarding the "total destruction of Iran" or the "destruction of Iranian civilization" fueled speculation that he might be considering a nuclear strike. He later dismissed such speculation.

The 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution allows the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the President unable to perform his duties and remove him from office. Carlson has insisted that Trump should be punished for "corruption and other matters."

The analyst stated that Trump’s threats to use nuclear weapons amounted to a "threat to destroy humanity," adding that "there is no greater crime than this." Earlier, following Trump's threat in April to "destroy Iranian civilization," calls to invoke the 25th Amendment against the U.S. President had surged among House Democrats and some Republicans.
