The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today that if the US persists in destabilizing the Strait of Hormuz and the region through naval blockades and warfare, economic security will not return to this waterway; it emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains under the control of Iran's powerful armed forces.
According to the foreign policy correspondent of Fars News Agency, Esmaeil Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, outlined the latest foreign policy developments during his weekly press briefing this morning (Monday, October 12, 2026).
At the beginning of the briefing, he paid tribute to the memory of Martyr Nosrat Eftekhari, the Deputy for Cultural Affairs of the Sistan and Baluchestan Law Enforcement Force.
The diplomatic spokesperson said: "Let us remember that at every moment we are here enjoying the blessing of security, there are individuals defending Iran's security and authority with their lives."
Referring to Hafez Day, he remarked: "Hafez is an integral part of our Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization. I extend my congratulations on this day to all Iranians and to those who cherish Iranian culture, literature, and nobility."
