Another US government official who previously spoke to The Intercept said in a new interview with the media outlet that the recent increase in casualties was the result of Iran’s attacks on about 10 US military bases and positions in the Middle East since July 9.

According to the official, Iranian forces were able to pressure and bypass US air defense systems by simultaneously using attack drones and advanced ballistic missiles.

This comes despite Donald Trump and Pete Hexathon repeatedly claiming in recent months that they had destroyed Iran’s military capabilities.
