The vessel had deactivated its tracking systems and was attempting to transit through a restricted zone located east of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army emphasized that unauthorized or uncoordinated movements within restricted routes and zones create insecurity and pose significant risks to other vessels.
