Murphy: War with Iran was unwinnable from the start/Trump created a disaster

The US senator, who has repeatedly warned about the consequences of the US war against Iran, described the war as "the greatest disaster in US foreign policy since the Iraq War."

Fars News Agency International Group; In a message on X, US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy wrote today in response to an analysis of Iran's increasing determination to resist US pressure, "The war with Iran has been so disastrous that it is impossible to overstate the extent of this disaster. It was unwinnable from the start. Trump's arrogance has led to the greatest foreign policy disaster (in America) since the Iraq War."

The US lawmaker recently acknowledged Washington's defeat in the war against Iran and emphasized that a "bad deal" for the US should be accepted in order to prevent further weakening.

Referring to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Murphy argued that every day this war continues, America becomes weaker and Iran becomes stronger, and the American people suffer more than ever as prices continue to rise.
