Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said:

"The continued naval blockade and escalation by the U.S. regime will only tighten the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and could also lead to the closure of other strategic straits and maritime chokepoints. The consequences will be borne by the global economy, the energy market, and American voters."
