In a meeting with a group of youth from 73 countries - including Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain and Palestine - who have participated in the "Islamic Awakening and Youth Conference" in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the youth of Islamic countries are very important for the future of the Islamic Ummah and added: "The awakening of the youth throughout the world of Islam has increased hope of a general awakening among Muslim nations."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that human history is at a historic juncture and stressed: "Humanity has passed through the days of all materialistic schools of thought, including Marxism, liberal democracy and secular nationalism, and it is at the beginning of a new era whose greatest sign is the attention of nations to Allah the Exalted, their cries for divine assistance and their reliance on divine revelations."

His Eminence said that the dictatorial network of the Zionists and the arrogant powers has spread its hegemony over the world and added: "The uprising of the regional nations against dependent dictators is part of the battle launched by humanity against global dictatorship of the Zionists, and humanity will be delivered of the hegemony of this dangerous dictatorship after this great historic juncture. And according to the truthful divine promises, this great transformation will result in the freedom of nations and the rule of spiritual and divine values."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that certain people might think it is impossible to defeat the Zionists' global network of dictatorship and reiterated: "Previously, if somebody spoke about the victory of the pious youth of Hezbollah over the Zionist army or about the humiliation of the Egyptian taghut and the amazing developments in North Africa, many people would not believe him, just as the resistance, victory and progress of the Islamic Republic was not believable to certain people. But God's overwhelming power revealed itself in these victories and amazing developments."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the vigilant presence of nations and their resistance will definitely prepare the ground for divine assistance and added: "In light of the fulfillment of God's promises, the Zionists, the Great Satan - America - and western powers feel helpless in the face of Islamic Awakening and their sense of weakness and defeat will increase on a daily basis."

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the developments in Islamic countries are the beginning of the path of salvation and happiness, further adding: "The important point is that we must not consider these victories as the end of the path and that we must continue fighting global bullies and their mercenaries by maintaining our selfless struggle, reliance on the determination and willpower of nations and trust in Allah the Almighty."

His Eminence referred to Iran's progress in nuclear technology, biotechnology, medicine and other scientific areas and added: "In spite of all the obstructionism by the enemies and to their disbelief, the pious youth of this country have achieved advances which can be instructive to the youth of all Islamic nations."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that international tyrants are trying to instill two wrong beliefs into the minds of Muslim people and added: "The enemies of the Islamic Ummah have kept Muslim nations backward for around two centuries by instilling a sense of incompetence into Muslim nations and promoting the idea that the superpowers of the world are invincible, but the Islamic Ummah has awakened today and it has realized that both of these beliefs are a hundred percent wrong and that Muslim nations are able to restore the glory of Islamic civilization."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the current century as the century of Islam and spirituality and added: "Islam offers rationality, spirituality and justice to nations and divine teachings stress the kind of Islam that is based on rationality and thinking, Islam that is based on reliance on God, Islam that is based on jihad, Islam that is based on hard work and action."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that the arrogant powers are trying to recover from the effects of the popular uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and other Islamic countries. "The enemy is hatching plots. By staying vigilant and by making use of the experiences of others, Muslim nations - particularly, the youth of the Islamic Ummah who are the driving force behind Islamic Awakening - must not allow the network of global autocracy to hijack their revolutions and create deviations on their current and future paths."

His Eminence said that the Islamic Republic has 32 years of experience in confronting different kinds of machinations designed by America and other enemies of Islam, further adding: "In order to defeat the Islamic Republic, the arrogant powers have done everything in their power, but so far the Iranian nation has kicked them in the mouth at every stage. And in the future they will not achieve anything but defeat and failure."

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the enemies are hatching plots in order to foment discord in the Islamic world and added: "Islamic Awakening is independent of Shia and Sunni. And followers of all Islamic denominations are present in the battlefield in a unified way."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the numerous principles that Islamic nations have in common and reiterated: "Muslim nations have certain differences as well. Considering the geographic, historical and social differences, there is no unified paradigm for all Islamic countries. But the important point is that everybody is opposed to the satanic hegemony of the Zionists and the Americans and that nobody would tolerate the existence of the cancerous tumor, Israel."

His Eminence added: "Wherever there is an activity and plan which benefits Israel and America, we must be vigilant and we must consider that activity and plan as a foreign move against the interests of nations. And wherever there is an Islamic, anti-Zionist, anti-arrogance and anti-corruption move, all Muslim nations should support and strengthen it in a unified and unanimous way."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the efforts of international media to isolate the people of Bahrain and added: "Western media and the media outlets affiliated with the west want to turn the issue of Bahrain into a Shia-Sunni issue by fomenting discord, but there is no difference between Islamic Awakening in different countries."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that reliance on God and preserving unity are the secret behind victory. He referred the divine command concerning resistance and steadfastness and added: "In light of this divine command, the Islamic Ummah will continue its path without stopping."

His Eminence described the prospects of the Islamic Ummah as very bright. Referring to the human, material and spiritual capacities of the world of Islam, he stressed: "In spite of their differences, all Muslim nations are in the tent of call to God. By Allah's favor, Muslim youth will see the Islamic Ummah's era of glory and power and they will hand down this glory and power to future generations of the Islamic Ummah."
