Leader’s Remarks to Scientists and Researchers of Iran’s oil Industry

The Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has called for a new perspective on (or a fresh way of looking at) oil, saying oil revenues must not be used for day-to-day expenses and topping up the government budget, rather this revenue must be used for advancement of the nation and economic progress. Speaking on Monday during a visit to the oil industry research institute, and addressing researchers, managers and personnel of the institute, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized that the entire Iranian nation is proud of the first-class and valuable research carried out at this institute. He added: “It is unwise, and truly a loss, if oil revenues are spent for day-to-day expenses of the country”.
