Qom – The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom issued statement criticizing crimes against Pakistani Shiite Muslims calling Wahhabi excommunication a force that undermines power of Islamic society.

According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency the statement which was released to condemn anti Shia assassinations in Pakistan called the Wahhabism a movement that has challenged the power of Islamic Ummah (society).

The statement denounced extremist and excommunicating moves which has undermined unity and brought the most disunity in Muslim community.

Part of the statement runs, "Now that the wave of Islamic Awakening has spread to the Muslim world and calls all Muslims to boost their unity and keep vigilant against the plots of the enemies."

According to the statement, Shia-Sunni disagreement and widening the gap between the two denominations is a waste of power of Islam, it seems that proximity of Islamic schools of thought and struggling for boosting Islamic unity is the most efficient way to confront the extremist and excommunicating moves.

Iranian society of Seminary teachers expressed his condolences over the martyring of terrorist groups against Shiite Muslims in Pakistan demanding the government to prevent similar crimes against Shiite Muslims and to prosecute the criminals behind the act.
