The reward of kissing the hands of parents

In the Holy Quran and authentic hadiths from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and the infallible Imams (PBUH), respect for parents has always been emphasized, and among these, the position of the mother is indescribable.

In a hadith from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), he is quoted as saying:

"Whoever kisses his mother's feet, it is as if he has kissed the threshold of the Kaaba." (Ganjinah Jawaher)

He also said: "Whoever kisses his mother's forehead will be protected from the fire of Hell." (Nahj al-Fasaha)

Although much is said in today's world about the status of mothers, and even the 20th of Jamadi Al-Thani, corresponding to the birth of the model of mothers of the world, Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), has been designated as "Mother's Day" and to honor the noble personality of this holy being.

But unfortunately, the state of machine civilization is such that it cuts off the relationship between fathers and mothers from their children very early, so that emotional relationships are rarely seen among them after they grow up.

The painful sight of adult nursing homes in human societies, which are the centers of disabled fathers and mothers who have become disabled and have been rejected by their families, is a very telling witness to this bitter truth.

Men and women who, after a lifetime of service and the delivery of numerous children to society at a time when they are in dire need of their children's affections and help, are completely driven away, and there they wait for death, counting the days, and they keep their eyes on the door for an acquaintance to come through the door, an expectation that perhaps does not occur more than once or twice a year! Indeed, the idea of such a situation makes life bitter for a person from the very beginning, and this is the way and custom of the material world and civilization, rather than faith and religion.

This global challenge comes at a time when there are amazing verses and narrations in Islam in this regard that advise Muslims of the extraordinary importance of the position of the mother, so that they should strive in this regard not only in words, but also in deeds.

Although human emotions and the issue of gratitude alone are sufficient to observe respect for parents, since Islam does not remain silent on issues in which both reason has complete independence and emotion clearly understands them, but rather issues the necessary instructions to emphasize such cases, it has emphasized respect for parents, especially appreciation for the position of the mother, to such an extent that this is rarely seen in any other issue.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: On the night of the Ascension, all the gardens of Paradise were presented to me. Among them were four rivers: a river of water, a river of milk, a river of wine, and a river of honey. Allah has said: In them are rivers of pure water, without any stench, and rivers of milk, the taste of which has not changed, and rivers of wine, a delight for those who drink it, and rivers of pure honey. For them there are fruits of every kind, and forgiveness from their Lord! Are these like those who will abide in the Fire of Hell, and will be given to drink boiling water that will tear their insides apart? (Muhammad: 15). I said: "O Gabriel! Where did these rivers come from and where do they go?" He said: “They are going to the Pool of Kauthar, but I do not know where they come from. Ask God to inform you or show you.” I also asked God; at that moment an angel came and greeted me and said: “O Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family)! Close your eyes.” I also closed my eyes; then he said: “Open your eyes.” I also opened them and saw myself next to a tree and saw a dome of shining pearls with a door of green ruby and a lock of red gold. If all the humans and jinn in the world were to stand on that dome, they would be like a bird sitting on a mountain or an almond falling into the sea; and I saw these four rivers flowing from under this dome. When I wanted to return, the same angel said to me: “Why don’t you enter the dome?” I said, “How can I enter when there is a lock on the door?” The angel said, “Open the lock!” I said, “How can I open it when I do not have a key?” He said, “The key is in your hands.” I said, “Where is it?” He said, “The key is in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” So I approached and said, “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” The lock turned and I entered the dome and I saw that these rivers were flowing from the four corners of the dome. When I wanted to leave the dome, an angel said to me, “Did you look and see?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “Look again.” When I looked, I saw that “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” was written on the four corners of the dome. And I saw a river of water flowing from the name of Allah, a river of milk flowing from the name of Allah, a river of wine flowing from the name of the Most Gracious, and a river of honey flowing from the name of the Most Merciful. I knew that the source of these four rivers was from the name of Allah. [At that time] Allah said: “O Muhammad! Whoever from your nation calls upon Me by these names with a pure intention and says in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, I will give him drink from these four rivers.” God will give the people of Paradise water to drink on Saturday, and honey on Sunday, and milk on Monday, and wine on Tuesday. When they drink, they will become intoxicated. When they become intoxicated, they will fly for a thousand years until they reach a high mountain of fragrant musk, from under which flows the spring of Salsabil (a spring in Paradise), and they will drink from that spring. This will be on Wednesday. Then they will fly for another thousand years until they reach a palace made of agate stone, in which are placed high, beautiful thrones and goblets, as in the verse: In it are high, beautiful thrones, and goblets [of pure wine] are placed. (Ghashiyyah/1413) It has been mentioned, then each of them will sit on a throne and ginger wine will descend on them and they will drink from it, and this will be on Thursday. Then a white cloud made of saffron will rain on them for two thousand years, a thousand years of ornaments and a thousand years of gems will rain on them, and on each gem will hang a beautiful woman; then they will fly for another thousand years until they finally reach the true position [referring to the verse: In the position of truth with God, the Sovereign, the Mighty. (Qamar/55)], and this will be on Friday, and they will sit on the table of eternity and drink pure, untouched, sealed wine with a seal of musk on it [referring to the verses: They will be drunk from pure, untouched, sealed wine. The seal on it is of musk; And those who desire it should compete with one another for it. (Mutaffafeen/2625)] It will descend upon them and they will drink from it. The Messenger of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family) said: “These are the ones who do righteous deeds and avoid sins.”

Tafsir of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) Vol. 1, p. 28 Bahr al-Irfan, Vol. 1, p. 44

It is narrated from Imam Sadiq (a.s.): Abdullah ibn Yahya came to Imam Ali (a.s.) and said: “O Commander of the Faithful! If you want to benefit me and teach me; tell me the sin for which I was afflicted in this assembly so that I may not return to it.” He said: “It was that you did not say Bismillah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, when sitting, and God made you so rude and neglect your duty that this calamity and affliction of yours purified you. Did you not know that the Messenger of God (s.a.w.s.) said to me on behalf of God Almighty: “Any important work in which Bismillah is not mentioned, its end should be cut off.” I said: “My parents are your sacrifices! From now on, I will not be concerned about it.” He said: “In that case, you will benefit from it and be happy.” Abdullah ibn Yahya said: “O Commander of the Faithful! What is the interpretation of Bismillah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful?” He said: “Whenever a servant intends to recite or perform an action, he says: Bismillah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, meaning: [In this name, I perform this deed]. So, whatever action he performs, he should begin with [Bismillah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful]. Indeed, there is a blessing and a blessing for him in it.”

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) Abu Bakr Hadhrami narrated that Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: “Whenever you have a need, recite the Muthani and another Surah, and pray two rak’ahs and supplicate to God.” I said: “May God be pleased with you, what is the Muthani?” He said: “It is Al-Fatihah Al-Kitab; In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.”

The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) should know that whoever recites this Surah with the belief in the Wilayat of Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and his pure family, and obeys its command and believes in its outward and inward aspects, Allah Almighty will grant him a reward greater than the world and all its wealth and goodness for every word of it; and whoever listens to the person who recites this Surah, He will give him one-third of the reward of the reciter. So, take advantage of this good and blessing that has been placed at your disposal as much as you can, for it is a spoil; lest its opportunity pass and its regret remain in your hearts.

protests against Trump, Musk

In the United States' capital city, angry protests have become a nearly every day occurrence.

The area has been deeply impacted by the mass layoffs and cuts to federal agencies controversially implemented by new President Donald Trump.

Press TV’s website

Washington DC continues to see almost daily protests against President Donald Trump and his flurry of austerity measures, layoffs and executive orders.

The nation's seventh largest metropolitan area is bearing the greatest impact of Trump's moves, and residents of Washington DC don't have many options for help, as they are not allowed any representation inside Congress.

In Washington DC, almost 45% of all workers are employed by the federal government, and 20% of the entire Federal workforce is located in the DC metropolitan area.

Protests against DOGE specifically are occurring almost every other day. Trump has succeeded in finding someone almost as controversial as he is in Elon Musk, who has become a major target of Democratic Party rage.

I just think the whole thing is a scam to begin with. You don't need a department of government efficiency.

Those kinds of things can be solved. We do need to work on them.

But this whole thing, with … Musk in charge, It's just…, I don't have the words. It's ridiculous.

Protester 01

I don't trust anything he does… going after our personal information. Why?

… Do your job … an oath to the country and to us, not to Trump.

Protester 02

Trump's plan to flood the zone with an overwhelming number of moves has succeeded in paralyzing the Democratic Party, whose lack of a cohesive response has led to their lowest approval ratings in decades.

Right now, they're not doing anything. I would welcome all actions they could take. It would be nice, but they're all Republican (so) that's not going to happen.

There's so many laws being broken and agencies being ripped apart, so many illegal actions.

The nation's financial markets have seen their worst days since the COVID-19 pandemic, while stagflation, a combination of recession and inflation, appears like a certainty in the near future as Trump's second term continues to shock and divide.

Pilgrimage etiquette and procedures

Pilgrimage Etiquette

Spiritual Preparation:

The pilgrim must prepare his soul for this visit before dressing up.

Every action requires intention. For a pilgrimage, consider the intention of pleasing God Almighty, the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Amir al-Mu'minin, Fatima Zahra, and the Imams of Guidance (AS). Also, the narration states that you should never intend to go on pilgrimage for the sake of showing off.

The narrations emphasize that in order to visit the graves of the Imams, we must know the right of the Imam (AS). Knowing the right of the Imam means that the Imam is the proof of God for me, and every grace and mercy that comes to me is from the noble existence of that Imam, and obedience to him is obligatory and is considered obedience to God. (In the matter of obedience, one can refer to verse 59 of Surah An-Nisa.

When you intend to move, say “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” and recite Surah Al-Qadr.

And in any situation, keep the remembrance of Allah on your tongue and do not be heedless of the remembrance of Allah.

The actions that are commanded in outward manners cause physical fitness, under which spiritual fitness is best achieved.

Outward manners:

The actions that are commanded in outward manners cause physical fitness, under which spiritual fitness is best achieved.

It is desirable to be in ablution at all times. Try to be in ablution while traveling.

Take a bath before leaving the city and recite the supplications that came during and after the bath as much as possible.

Start your journey by giving alms.] Also, one should not forget to give alms during the journey.

Among the means of travel, in narrations to the Holy Land, The Sayyid al-Shuhada, agate ring, perfume, head covering and appropriate travel provisions are mentioned. Of course, except for the Ziyarat of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), having good and delicious food is recommended.

Ethics in Travel:

Good behavior towards people is desirable and good in all trips,

However, during a pilgrimage, a special spirituality prevails over the group of companions.

Be generous with what you have with you to your companions and do not be stingy or stingy.

It is highly recommended to help others during a trip. When traveling, consider the condition of the weakest fellow traveler and think of the weak while forgoing your own rights.

Good speech is desirable in all situations and is considered one of the duties of a pilgrim and a condition of a pilgrimage. Joking and joking, as long as it is not for the sake of God, are signs of kindness during a trip, of course, except during the Ziyarat of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), which is prohibited.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution spoke about the patience and tolerance of Malik Ashtar in the face of a young man's ridicule and said:

I invite the dear Basijis to morality. What does morality mean? It means patience and tolerance, patience and resistance, truthfulness and purity, courage and sacrifice, purity and chastity. The Basijis need this in order for the components of this solid building to remain strong. If you want this lofty building to remain strong like a permanent fortress and stand firm against the enemies, you must observe these things; show patience, show patience, show morality, show purity, consider the great role models of the early days of Islam. We must avoid arrogance, avoid exaggeration. Malik Ashtar, with that position, with that courage, with that position he had with the Commander of the Faithful, was walking in the alley. A boy did not recognize him, made fun of him, maybe threw a pebble at him. For example, he saw a person walking by and started making fun of him. Then Malik Ashtar passed by. The people who saw that scene said to the boy, "Do you understand what you did? Do you understand who you made fun of?" The boy did not know Malik Ashtar. He said no. They said, "This is Malik Ashtar." The boy became confused. Now he, alone or with his father, for example, or his friends, came running to apologize in some way so that he would not cause them any trouble. They followed Malik Ashtar. They saw that he had come to the mosque and was praying. They went ahead and started to apologize. Malik Ashtar said, "I came to the mosque to pray, to pray that God Almighty will forgive this young man's mistake! See, this is compassion, this sense of responsibility, this patience, this generosity. You and I must learn these things too." 09/06/1393

The virtue of Surah Al-Fatihah Al-Kitab

Imam Askari (peace be upon him) said: By giving the Surah of Hamd to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), God granted him a privilege that He did not give to any of the previous prophets (peace be upon him), except for Sulayman ibn Dawud (peace be upon him); who only has Bismillah al-Rahman al-Raheem from this Surah. [And Sulayman (peace be upon him)] considered this verse superior to all the kingdom and power that God had given him [and] said: “O God! What great and valuable words they are, I consider these words more valuable than all the kingdom that You have given [me].” God addressed him: O Sulayman! How could they not be more valuable, and now that every servant of Mine, whether male or female, calls upon Me with these words, I will grant him a reward a thousand times your kingdom in charity. This is one-seventh of the entire Surah that I have given to Muhammad (peace be upon him), the master of the prophets (peace be upon him).
