Nine months after the martyrdom of a 15-year-old Palestinian teenager in the West Bank, the Zionist regime has now decided to hand over the remains of his body.

The Israelis, who have the remains of 1,700 Palestinians, are now seeking to hand over the body of a 15-year-old martyr.

The National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of Palestinian Martyrs announced that Israel has decided to hand over the body of “Jadallah Jihad Juma Jadallah.” According to the Palestinian group, Jadallah was martyred during the November 16, 2025 attack on the Al-Fara refugee camp in the West Bank and his body has been in Israeli custody since then.

The decision to hand over the body was made after a petition was filed with the Israeli Supreme Court in March demanding the return of the child’s body.

After repeatedly granting prosecutors more time to respond, the court received a notice on Wednesday that authorities intended to hand over the body in the coming days, although no specific date was given.

The National Campaign for the Recovery of Palestinian Martyrs’ Bodies said that holding Jadallah’s body for more than nine months had deprived his family of the right to say goodbye and bury him.

The group said Israel was holding the remains of about 1,700 Palestinians, including 799 whose identities were known.

Among the identified Palestinian bodies were 81 children, 99 Palestinians who died in Israeli prisons and 10 women.

The Palestinian campaign said another 256 bodies were being held in so-called “number cemeteries,” where graves are marked with numbers instead of names and Israel keeps records of the identities of those buried there.

The Israeli Supreme Court ruled in 2019 that the regime's authorities can keep the bodies of Palestinians for use as a "bargaining tool."
